    Elgato

Hey guys, I'm really trying to get the Elgato Eye TV Diversity working with Ubuntu (I'm trying it on both Karmic and Hardy)

The problem is, lsusb shows the device but I don't get a vendor name, just an ID.

dmesg shows a usb device being detected, but not that it's a TV tuner.

I've followed the guides on these pages:

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=533528

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=852447

    http://duesenklipper.wordpress.com/2...ntu-804-hardy/

    http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.ph...-NOVA-TD-Stick

But so far, nothing seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

P.S (I know some of the guides are for the hauppauge nova, but this is the same device as far as I can tell)

    Anyone at all?

    PLEASE!!

Fedora picks this up as far as I can tell, but I want Ubuntu for Boxee!

Edit: I think the issue lies in the fact that the USB ID isn't listed in the lsusb database

    Hey scottuss,

Did you manage to solve this in Ubuntu?

And Fedora definitely picks it up? So its not a lack of support from linux in general but a ubuntu specific issue?

    Have you tried Lucid?

    Cheers

Just downloading the RC now, so I'll give it a try and report back

Cheers. I'm tossing up between the Elgato Diversity and the HDHomeRun (http://www.hdhomerun.com.au/index.htm) at the moment. But prob leaning towards the HDHomerun....

Would love to know how you go with the Diversity though. Good Luck
