    i told you to reduce it to see whether the xrandr works correctly... It seems it does... so just try to increase the resolution.try to use the highest resolution the LCD gives under MS windows.

    btw, did you change any accessibility options at the GDM on startup
    just uncheck anything that you have checked if you have done that.

    windows give such resolution as such i m using in ubuntu but here the windows are extra large

    i have used less resolution but it is not working
    actually everything was fine i waas thinking that ubuntu is at is as i have
    but when i see some you tube videos it stuck in to my mind
    i used it in my friends computer it was seeming like vista then i think of solving my problem

    at login
    there is a button for accessibility options. got it...
    just check whether you have checked anything.... if sooo uncheck it.

    hey i got the messege and uncheck all but the problem is same
    actually all were already unchecked

    when you were using jaunty this display problem was not there, right???
