January Screenshot Thread (2010)

Can anyone who went from any Gnome desktop to CrunchBang tell me how easy it is to get used to it? I'm getting pretty tired with Gnome and like the look of CrunchBang, added to the fact that my system isn't top end and often my CPU gets a bit noisy, and I'd just like to step away from the whole fancy desktop thingy. I want the functionality of openbox, and yes, I've tried using Openbox instead of metacity, however when i stop Nautilus drawing the desktop, I get CPU usage up to 100% instantly, so there must be a bug of some kind. I am pretty set on installing CrunchBang, its just I'd like to know whether to do it when I have lots of spare time or if customising etc doesn't take long, and can be done on a weekend.

A 800x600 picture is the maximum size allowed, Read the rules then before you rant.

I'm sorry if I offended you, and I wasn't referring your screenshot with the gorgeous pin-up, just so you know. ... there have been a couple that break the page layout... those are the ones I meant. (although now that I've checked again, they seem to have been removed or resized)

Added Mac style global menu, changed the font color on conky to suite the wallpaper and finally got awn edgy mode to work properly.

What happened to the Xfce+Openbox+Tint2 setup?... I was looking forward to seeing more of it.

Nice to be appreciative of one's own work eh? As for the Xubuntu setup, that's on my second desktop, I havn't had much time to play with it yet Must recover all the Openbox themes I had in #!
