max resolution latitude d520

In the specs of the laptop says

Displays = Standard aspect 14.1" XGA (1024 x 768 resolution), 15" XGA (1024 x 768 resolution) or 15" SXGA+ (1400 x 1050 resolution)

I've got 15'' display, but the max resolution i can get with karmic is 1024x768. I've search a lot but i havent been able to get it right... Is there anyway to make this work?

Have you found any answer.
I'm stuck with the same problem.

I am not able to get higher resolution than 1024x768.
I've tried manipulating cvt and xrand commands. Even if I manage to do it with other computers, on Dell Latitude 520, I keep my low resolution.

Any idea ?
