Hi guys,

I spent whole night trying to install Nvidia driver for my GT 420M on my 10.04 but after reboot it shows that no device found .
I have done all the blacklisting and the installer says that the Installation of Nvidia driver is now complete.

Please help me in figuring out the problem.

Whenever I try to start nvidia-settings the error message reads

'You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.'

I even tried that but still no installation.
