Youtube video controls don't work for me in Karmic?

Hi, can anyone tell me what might be causing me to be unable to click the play/pause and other buttons on a youtube video to control it in Karmic? The mouse-over works, as does highlighting, it just doesn't work when I click on it.

For instance when trying to pause a video as I mouse over it I get the correct pop up, and when clicking on it I get the correct highlighting of the button, but it doesn't pause the video.

Any ideas?

I presume you are using 64bit. It seems that just removing flash and installing it again using these instructions will solve the problem.

This has been a common issue recently.

There's also a ppa with the newest 64bit flash.

Woah, thank you other poster for that also! I have been having trouble with around half of the things involving flash in 9.10 also. However, for YouTube it was easy to get around because you can control almost everything with the keyboard [space=pause, up/down key=volume, left/right key=timeline]. But, in Flash Games, if you insanely click it enough, it will register around half of the time. But now I don't need to worry about that!

P.S.: Nixie Pixel, I am a HUGE fan of your YouTube videos.
