Lost bookmarks toolbar and navigation bar in firefox

I tried an add on Quick toolbar in firefox and managed to lose bot my toolbar and nav bar. I uninstalled it but it still did not bring them back. I reinstalled firefox but it remains the same. My GF's account on the same computer still has OK firefox bars though.

    Can anyone help - please.

PS I am using ultimate edition

Did you tried enabling them in View menu?

In your home you can find .mozilla directory. There is a firefox directory in it. You can rename it to reset settings to defaults and then copy bookmarks.

View menu was gone too! the whole bar was missing. Sorry I maybe didn't give you the right description of the problem but thanks bro.

I ended up googling and found a terminal command to open profile manager and instructions to fix it, this took it back to a new clean install of firefox. downloaded the add ons I knew were OK and back to normal for me again thanks.
