    Format HDD w/GParted Help!

I'm trying to format one of my HDDs to NTFS, but the option is not shown in GParted. Well, it is shown, but it is grayed out. I don't know what to do, and I can't find anything on the subject that helps me out so I turn to the forums looking for help. Any to be found?

This usually happens when the drive is mounted. Unmount it then try again.

Do you have ntfsprogs or something similar installed? I think they are needed to manage ntfs filesystems.

I figured it out. I did notice I needed ntfsprogs, but I couldn't figure out how to install the file. But I did find a live cd download that already included gparted with all of the bells and whistles. So thanks anyways.
