Gedit document title remove.

I find myself using gedit, a lot at the moment.
When I mouse over the documnet title in on the tabs. A (largeish) yellow box appears and cover the top lines of the document I am trying to view.

Can anyone suggest a way to turn off the yellow information window?

What you are talking about are tooltip windows. The tooltips should disappear when you move your mouse off the tab.
