    Android

    Hi

i am tryting to install android sdk on my ubntu 9.04.

    I downloaded android-sdk_r04-linux_86.tgz from android site (15MB)
I unzipped and according to README and tried to invoke

tool/android and it said that java is not installed in the machine.

I went to synaptic manager and searched for java. There are so many things with
java, which exactly do I need for android SDK.

    Re: Android

could be the jre i.e. the jave runtime environment.
or the jdk i.e. the java dev kit.

Probably the former rather than the latter though.
