    Add-on Compatibility Reporter no longer allows the user to force compatibility.

    Oh. Dear. Me.

    This sound just like the bad old days

    Hmm the advice seems a little confused...

    It is a great tool, but the only draw back is the incompatibility issues with the new FF versions. Problem can be solved by disabling compatibility check (extensions.checkCompatibility)

    Not compatible yet with FF 12 beta Rated 4 out of 5 stars

    I miss it. Hope the Tab Utilities addon updates automatically when it is made compatible with new FF releases. I'll keep checking back.

    Try keeping up Rated 4 out of 5 stars

    Very nice add-on, have been using it for quite a while, but:

    Would be nice if you updated the add-on to newer firefox versions _before_ these versions are released instead of afterwards. At he moment we have to postpone updating FF only because this add-on hasn't been updated yet. (All my other add-ons are already compatible. (And I use a LOT of them.)

    Ah Hah!

    Here we go:

    extensions.checkCompatibility.12.0 = false
    extensions.checkCompatibility.12.0a = false
    extensions.checkCompatibility = false

    I had uninstalled it and previously the site would not allow me to reinstall.

    After the addition of the preferences above I was allowed to install and all looks OK so far.

    Hi
    Something broke when Firefox-12 b1 from PPA was updated to build 2.
    Ubuntu Natty.
    Is there a problem with the PPA build?

    I'm downloading natty 32bit and I'll see how we get on with that and post my results later.

    Looks as if the problem is at your end and not the PPA...

    Tested in a newly built VM all working OK.

    Hi
    Thanks for testing that.
    I don't know what went wrong.
    Fixed it by tinkering and using -f.

    Arrow H.264 Mozilla caves in :-(

    H.264

    Very disappointing.

    We’ve declined to adopt a technology that improves user experience in the hopes this will bring greater user sovereignty. Not many would try this strategy, but we did. Brendan’s piece details why our current approach of not supporting encumbered codec formats hasn’t worked, and why today’s approach regarding existing encumbered formats is even less likely to work in the future.
    Oh well it was worth a shot.
