Question HP Device manager doesn't detect printer.

I am using HP LaserJet P1005, as maybe someone of you know, this printer doesn't work with the default drivers, so i downloaded and installed hplip, and everything worked fine for a day and then it stopped working. I wasn't able to discover what the problem is so i decided to remove the hplip package and install it once again. After installation it has ran HP Device manager setup, i have chosen USB as connection type and proceeded, unfortunately on the next step, but this is where it get's bad.
The system does not detect printer, however i am sure that printer is plugged in and powered on.

    What could be a problem?

I managed to add the printer via Cups web interface, it detects it, but i still can't do anything with it, not even print a test page. It gives out Device communication error.
