Cant get to the login screen!!!!!

Hey guys i have been using ubuntu 9.10 and its been wroking properly b4 and now it dsnt get past the Loading screen.
After i select the kernel in the grub, the load screen shows but it doesnt load anything?

what should I do????

try choosing the previous kernel version from the boot screen

I tried all the kernels...
nuthing happens. it just gets stuck there...
