Installation problem with ubuntu server 8.04.3

Trying to install Ubuntu Server 8.04.3 and having no success. A cd integrity check shows me that the file ./dists/hardy/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz is corrupted. I have tried re downloading the iso, and both times the md5sum was fine. I have burned at the slowest speed possible with brasero and Nero Linux, and I know that the CDs are fine, as it is the same error on all three, and I recently used one of them for a Linux Mint cd which worked fine.

CD/DVD drives on both machines are fine. SO any ideas what the issue is? could it simply be that Canonical have uploaded a bad iso? Or is it something else? I'm stuck here, help much appreciated.

How about trying from some mirror? Choosing different locations might help:
    http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download-server

The drive where you burned them got filthy lens?

Using a debian netinst instead for the moment, but if that doesn't work, I try another mirror. That was the one thing that didn't accur to me, *facepalm* Thanks anyway. If I need help again I'll ressurect this thread at some point.
