It can be used as a netbook, easel display and with a HDMI connector, it can be viewed on a big screen TV. Think of the Litl Webbook as a "thin client" web device rather than a traditional PC.

How do I download things off the web?

The litl is primarily for use online.

I'm thinking this is a brick when you are not connected to the internet. I can see a niche for it, but I can't really see myself wanting one of these.

If you can get to a wireless hotspot, you should be able to connect with it. That's almost anywhere in the country.
