    hello,

for me the same happens. script 15_saving is not executed.

also with the follow up script that you proposed, no "script_executed" file is created in the Desktop folder of my user.

    thanks for any help,

    greetings,

    mario

I've check and it surely works. Strange..

Could you do check the output of acpi -V both on battery and on AC?

I finally got the mic to work with my new 1810tz but, only as a work around. I installed the backports package and rebooted. The mic only works if you move the audio output slider all the way to the left or the right. This makes the sound output "mono" and the mic works. If you move the slider slightly to the middle, the mic stops working and you only get noise from the mic.

Does someone know how to fix this? I would love to be able to use the stereo speakers when talking on skype...

    Hi there,

yeah, of course you can. Some things, as fan or mic fixes may be won't work, but it is worth trying.

does anybody has an idea how to make the 3G Killswitch working? Pressing it logs

    [15346.153485] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xc4 on isa0060/serio0).
[15346.153491] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e044 <keycode>' to make it known.

    in dmesg

    @managementboy
very interesting. I was having trouble getting the internal mic to work with Skype when I read you post. I tried moving the output all the way to one side and it works. Strange thing, to me anyway, is that the mic works fine under Sound Recorder with output set in the middle. In my case it's only been with Skype that I've needed to move the output slider to one side or the other. Like you I'd rather be able to use both speakers when talking on Skype but at least it works now.

    hello,

    thanks for your reply.

i realized the script seems to be executed at startup because then i have the file on my desktop (however, it is empty).

    nevertheless, here the data

    (battery):
    scotty@DWARF:~$ acpi -V
    Battery 0: Discharging, 75%, 03:15:08 remaining
Battery 0: design capacity 4400 mAh, last full capacity 4301 mAh = 97%
    Adapter 0: off-line
Cooling 0: acerhdf no state information available
    Cooling 1: acerhdf-fan 0 of 1
    Cooling 2: LCD 0 of 9
    Cooling 3: Processor 0 of 7

    (AC):
    scotty@DWARF:~$ acpi -V
    Battery 0: Charging, 75%, 00:00:58 until charged
Battery 0: design capacity 4400 mAh, last full capacity 4301 mAh = 97%
    Adapter 0: on-line
Cooling 0: acerhdf no state information available
    Cooling 1: acerhdf-fan 0 of 1
    Cooling 2: LCD 0 of 9
    Cooling 3: Processor 0 of 7

    thanks for helping!

    cheers,

    mario
