Brother DCP-110c Scan not working

My MFC-J430W now scans. The Brother scanner driver was installed, per instructions on the Brother site. Ubuntu 11.10 Xsane and Simplescan did not find the scanner. It was only necessary to determine the equipment ID and add the MFC-J430W just as Doublehelix22 did. Thank you so much fatdadkev.

Just got home with this exact model printer.
Thanks to you, this thread, and a google search, I have printing working so far.

And don't forget to do this in the terminal, after all the solutions I found, my scan started to work wireless after I wrote this on the terminal:

brsaneconfig3 -a name=Brother DCP-J315W model=DCP-J315W ip=192.168.1.16 <-----------
