The panel 'Places' on UNR 9.10 does not appear on the right side of the desktop. Can anyone tell me how to access this?
Thanks!

bump...me too
I had the same difficulty and this thread was all I found so I did some digging and experimenting and here's what I ended up doing.
Right-click in the absolute right corner of the top menu and select "Add to Panel..."
Scroll down and choose "Main Menu" and click "Add" and "Close"
You now have the nice menu that you're used to.
I'm curious about this too. I just installed UNR 9.10 last night & I love it so far. The only thing I can't figure out is how to put the Places menu on the right side of the desktop. I've searched and seen several of these questions posted, but no clear answer... Any ideas??
I am curious about this too, but instead of having a right menu as in previous versions, why not have the option to add certain "places" to the bottom of the left main menu?
like for example removable media will pop up on the bottom left with an eject button next to the icon
I know I am coming to this party a little late...
You can access the "Connect To Server" option without having the Places menu. All you need to do is open any Folder (Home, Documents, you choose). Click on "File" and you will see the option of "Connect To Server" in that menu.
Accessing it this way will keep your desktop uncluttered.

I went from v9.04 to v10.10 and while this isn't 100% correct for v10.10 it was close 'nuff that I got there.
Resolved:THIS
Thanx Much, Skip
