amarok - no album view for iPod

    hi folks,

In local collection, I can set "Sort Options" to First level - Album, Second level - Artist, etc. and it renders just fine. However, I don't have that luxury for my iPod (which only ever shows the artist/genre/song).

Here's a depiction of what I'm talking about:

All the albums you see in local collection are on the iPod (they've apparently just all been aggregated into the "Unknown", but then if I look up the songs from the albums individually on the iPod, it shows a hierarchical tree with the song being contained in the album.

So obviously they are being stored in the albums, Amarok just isn't letting me look up the albums.

Is there some way to rectify this problem?

(I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala (as in gnome) - not sure how that effects things)

This problem isn't solved, but if you type something in search albums appear in amarok for iPod:

ok... i'm using kde now, but it did on gnome as well.

also, you can't search for albums by year, even though they show up in the collection by year:

Notice how 2009 - Kaleidoscope no longer shows.
