broadcom driver stoped working after upgrade to kernel 2.6.32

Ive searched almost all threads regarding this but cant find anyone with this specific problem.

Does anyone know why the broadcom sta driver stops working when i upgrade to 2.6.32 rc6 kernel.

And if so how can i fix it. Im open to using open source b43 driver but would prefer propitiatory driver as it has worked so well until now.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

as I posted in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...54#post8443854

"I encountered the same problems but could fix it, with installing the package "bcmwl-kernel-source" from Lucid http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/i386/bcmwl-kernel-source/download.
After installing it, I upgraded to the newest 2.6.32 kernel and wifi worked.
    Good luck!"
