Question virtual server (ubuntu 9.10) how to access http from host?

    Hi

    I have a a virtual ubuntu server.

My goal is to set this virtual server up as a web server, install it with all my favourite web apps(mediawiki, drupal etc)

The host for the virtual server is my Ubuntu desktop (9,10).

How can I view the web pages on my virtual server from the host?
Do I need to setup a domain?
Do I need to assign an IP address to my virtual server?

    Any advice is appreciated.

What are you using to visualize? ie. Virtualbox, VMware, Parallels?
