ubuntu corrupting my raid0 setup
I have Ubuntu installed on one disk and my windows setup on a raid0 partition across two separate disks. Whenever I load ubuntu (versions 9.04 or 9.10) from disk or the livecd, I experience the following behavior: After system reboot, the Nvidia raid manager reports an error across the striped drives. A simple fix involves a cold boot by turning off the machine completely (and the error messages go away). While this isn't a showstopper, maybe someone could explain to me (A) why this happens and (B) if there is anyway to disable Ubuntu from messing with my raid disks. It would be nice if I could boot between both OS's without needing to fully power down the machine each time.
