ATI Mobiltiy Radeon HD3400 driver not working(flashing Caps lock|

Hello,
I just installed Ubuntu 9.10 (I'm new to Ubuntu and linux) and after I downloaded and installed the updates, I tried to get my graphic card driver to work. In the Hardware Drivers window it found the ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphic driver. After I rebooted my laptop, Ubuntu didn't load, the screen was black and the green CapsLock light was flashing.

Any suggestions?

PROBLEM SOLVED: I installed the envyNG driver from http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html
