    Does Ubuntu have an app similar to Mac's menumeters?

    I'm looking for an application which launches at startup that will display my computers CPU, RAM usage, and network usage in the gnome panel.

    Here's an example of what menumeters looks like:

    right click on your panel, click add to panel, and select "system monitor". it is similar to menumeters.

    I installed conky with synaptic but it didn't show up anywhere under applications. I'm not TOO familiar with Ubuntu so I don't understand why it isn't showing up anywhere that I can see when I install it.

    go to a terminal and type

    Code:
    conky
    this will automatically open a file called "conkyrc"

    this should display what you are after, although on the link I gave you there is a world of changes that can be made and it will pretty much do as you want.
