I have just found my old joystick, when i plugged it in it didn't do anything.... we i installed the joystick calibration tool and tried to set it up.

no joy.

I looked on the forums and i can not find any that is for the M$ joystick. (I do believe that there might be a problem with the force feedback but that is not too much of a problem.)

I have tried lsmod but i don't see the joystick in there.

I have seen some threads saying about the kernel version.. i have got 9.04 that has been upgraded from 7.04, 7.10 , 8.04 , 8.10 , 9.04.

Could anyone help me with this
