making boot USB make 4Gb becom 1Gb

    Hi All,

I was trying to create a USB boot disk with a 4Gb pendrive, but for some reason, it failed and then I could no longer access the pendrive. I was not sure how to reformat it in ubuntu, so I did in Win XP but it only can see 960Mb now. Is there anything I did wrong?

I have 1GBRAM 1.3Ghz USB 1.1! I was running the Ubuntu CD when the error occured.

    Cheers

Did you do a 'full' format or 'quick' one?

Hi Josie, I initially did a quick one, but then a full format.

The disk was unreadable after attempting to creat the boot USB, so I wonder, have I damaged it?
