    Re: Web development

    I use the eclipse package for php developers (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/).

    However, the other day I passed across this project: Bespin

    It's a tool that allows you to cooperatively edit source of any kind on a server. It looks very neat for web development, though they say it's still pretty young...

    and with respect to amaya...I have no previous experience...

    +1 Geany is awesome. FileZilla + Geany is a great combo.

    Re: Web development

    I tried it last year, it crashed 3 times in 5 minutes.
    I haven't bothered since, but maybe the new version is better.

    Really depending on what I am doing the simplest of text editors works fine in most cases

    Just when I have multiple column and rows do things get interesting in a text editor.

    I use Bluefish and Notepad++

    I love the quick start options in Bluefish.

    Haven't tried this other one but I might take a look.
