Where are the pictures in appereance/background stored on the computer. I would like to put some of these on a computer that does not have them.

The wallpapers are stored in the /usr/share/backgrounds folder.

Windows is to Linux as a straw house is to a brick house. The bricks are harder to get started with, but they're higher quality and won't crash as easily.
