My friend told me about this the other night and I thought I'd share it... You can set your browser home page to:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random

And you'll get a different Wikipedia article every time you start it up. How cool is that?!

I don't know about Pasdar, but I have no aversion to learning. It is how an intellectual being grows.

But "random" Wikipedia articles has very little to do with learning. I would classify it as "entertainment". And Wikipedia makes pretty poor entertainment. For an example, take a look at this Wikipedia article. It's the kind of thing that a "random" sampling might turn up. Is it informative or entertaining? I don't think so. I don't think it's particularly cool either.

I go to the equivalent of your MIT in the US. There is such a thing as useless information, of which there is a lot on the internet. People call this the information age, but all people spend doing everyday is gather useless information and watch porn.
