monthly payment plan?

Does System76 provide any kind of monthly payment plan or do you have to pay for the whole system at once?

I'm looking to get a new laptop but am unable to drop several hundred dollars at once...

That's not actually a bad idea. I totally want that option too.

No payment plans for financing at this time. A few options have been thrown around, but it's difficult to say when/if those ideas will be implemented.

What System76 model do you have? What version of Ubuntu are you using?

I vote for a "be a promo dude" option. Basically, users rent out their foreheads with system76 stickers and cars with magnetic signs. I'd do it for a new notebook!

Maybe some sort of a beta tester program. You never really "own" the product, rather you perform testing services for the option of using the products instead. At least then System76 is able to gain something from it. I am just talking here, nothing to take too seriously though.

You might be onto something with the forehead idea.

Here is an idea (attached image) -- I didn't spend much time prettying it up, but you get the idea.

I figured, what the heck - it's not like we are using it for anything else useful! Might as well be earning something with it.
