    LOUD Sound Popping On 9.10 Bootup

    After upgrading to 9.10, the sound on bootup is like if you manually crossed the + and - leads of an amp output.
    No sound issues otherwise when system up and running.
    Never had this problem in any previous version of Ubuntu.
    Any idea how to stop it, cuz it's a BIG POP.

    Have you tried to reinstall the audio driver?
