[SOLVED] Synaptic GUI doesn't obey general font settings

Hi friends. After installing 9.10, I made the first change I always make to Ubuntu visuals: I changed the GUI fonts to Lucida Grande.

I found today there is a piece of software in 9.10 that won't use this font in its GUI: Synaptic. Synaptic keeps using its own sansserif font for menus and all the rest of its GUI.

Now, I know Firefox (using XUL) is harder to change to Gnome GUI settings. The same can be said about OpenOffice. But Synaptic? Such a kernel application?

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm not sure though if we're on the same page here (because I see that you've been using Ubuntu longer than I have), but I think you're talking about the difference in themes between "you" user and 'root' user (as shown by synaptic).

Here is a tutorial to make the "you" user and 'root' user themes identical: http://tombuntu.com/index.php/2007/0...oot-in-ubuntu/

You are absolutely right. Hadn't thought of that! Thank you. Solved.
