    How to Disk Check

I have recently dropped a running laptop to the floor, and somehow, the laptop drive (WD scorpio) actually disconnected from the IDE interface and fell out of the laptop.

Currently it boots, but not certain if there are other issues. What kind of commands do I need to check the disk, or do I need a rescue CD with WD tools? (I am running 9.10)

You can use the Disk Utility to check the disk. It's in the Administration menu. All you need to do is highlight the drive and click on "more information."
