    The issue with upgrading...

    [Check picture below.]

SO. What in the world is going on?
I am soooo afraid of upgrading, the last time it was in the middle of doing this, the power went out, and upon restarting, my OS was a complete mess.

Now this happens. It's been stuck there, for HOURS.
    What do I do?

I'd download a new copy of Karmic via torrent, check the md5sum, burn it to disc, and do a fresh install.

Hope you backed up any important data.

I'm not certain but it appears your still downloading the package and haven't started installing yet. If it's still downloading you could try canceling the install, which if successful would return you back to your functional version. Or let it run and wait.

    Good Luck.

    Re: The issue with upgrading...

Glad "Canceled" worked. I had a similar issue with an update and after about an hour decided to go ahead and "Cancel". It worked for me too and I did the update later.

Good Luck and glad everything worked out.
