The bug is well known. Look for example here:
    https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubun...ee/+bug/410407

A common workaround is exporting GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 before running the application with click problems.

Thats for flash and flash only. While its interesting (I do have that on some flash sites) I doubt its what the posters here are experiencing.

P4Man, this "click" malfunction is a byproduct of upgrading to Karmic 9.10.

PS: I can't quote you now due to this malfunction

That doesnt really help me understand the cause. You say specific clicks, which clicks? You say you cant quote because of that, does that mean clicking the quote button on this forum never works and other buttons always work? Is this a browser problem only? Firefox only? I got no clue where to start looking or thinking...

debayanm, please start your own thread or find one about the same topic. This one is about mouse click problems (and is already confusing me enough as it is without another parallel and unrelated subthread).Thanks.

Maybe it's not what the poster is experiencing but the workaround works for several applications. I use it for eclipse, azureus and chromium. I think the poster should give it a try.

I'm having this problem as well. The behavior suggests that the click isn't 'focused' within the window. I can drag windows by title bar, or use the bar on the bottom to switch windows. I can use compiz hotkeys, as far as I know, but keyboard input into text fields is unpredictable, missing 3/5 presses.

    Has anyone solved this one?
