Just upgraded from within Jaunty. There is no Firefox quick launch within top bar. Also Jaunty used to recognize both laptop batteries, does Karmic have this capability? I guess it will take time to bed down the new system.

Hardy Heron: Random kernel panic.
Intrepid Ibex: Randomly booted to blank screen.
Jaunty: Ran stable but did not hibernate or sleep (induced kernel panic.)
Karmic: Hibernates & sleeps fine! Linux has finally arrived!!!
Great success on my older hardware, each version improving over the former. Many thanks!

After my upgrade the button was still there but the icon was gone so it looked like the button itself was gone. Right click on the area where the button was & choose properties. Then click on the box where it says Icon. A file chooser dialog will appear. I found an icon in /usr/share/firefox/icons.
RTrev, drop & drag not working for me!
paulyg, well I'm blowed, it is still there! But blacked out with no icon, will try your suggestion. Or I would if had not deleted & tried to drag/drop it back! Anyone know how to restore Firefox launch icon?
Yes, running Xubuntu.
Yeah, I'm blind.. sorry.. it's right there to the left of your post!
There's a program in Xubuntu that I can't recall the name of.. you use it to locate programs which you then drag to the panel. It's been to long since I've tried Xubuntu, so we'll hope someone will be along who remembers the details.
Thanks.
Hey anybody, once FF deleted from quick launch can it be restored? The only annoyance in a perfect setup. I guess everybody out the wknd.
