8.04 Updates: Linux Headers Many to Update

I don't know how I let my Linux Headers get behind on updating. Would it be safe to go ahead and let Synaptic update them all at once time or what is the proper procedure for doing this.

In the Important Security Updates there is:
    2.6.24-25

and in the Recommended there is:
    2.6.24-24

plus a bunch of other updates.

If you only boot to the 2.6.24-25 kernel you should update that, but there is not really a need to do the same for the 2.6.24-24 kernel if you don't use it. It will not hurt to do both if you wish to, so to avoid being reminded all the time, you can either just update it or even uninstall it. If it were me, I would update
