Dual Boot UB 9.04 and WinXP- Th Windows Drive Died

Can anyone point me in the right direction. I disabled the bad drive from the boot sequence and running Ubuntu 9.04 trouble free. I don't want to disturb that if I can help it.

Unfortunately, I need Windows. I purchased a new hard drive but would like to check out the steps or the best way to approach this.

If worse comes to worse, I can start all over again but I am very happy with Ubuntu 9.04 and tickled by the way it is set up and works on this old computer that I've upgraded many times since the mid-90's. Phil

Is it an internal or external drive?

You can install Windows on the new drive, assuming you've got an official CD.

Then it's a case of deciding whether to make Ubuntu's Grub boot both systems, or whether you're going to select the drive to boot in the BIOS.

It's a gigantic old desktop with two internal drives... I just bought a 500 GB SATA drive. Thank you!!!
