Problem with BenQ monitor and Intel GMA945 in Ubuntu 9.10
I recently bought a BenQ G2220HD external monitor. It works well with my litte MSI Wind U100 2Gb RAM Netbook. I was using another PC with the monitor, but it recently wandered into PC-heaven and so I am currently using my Wind as my primary PC. It has Win7 RC on it as well, and with Win the external just works. However, in Ubuntu 9.10, I get an X-crash when I try to hook them up. The funny thing is that the monitor is recognized and even show the best suited resolution in the "Display." But when I try to "apply" to start using it, both screens turn black and completely freezes up. I then have to press the power button to reboot.
My netbook has standard specs: Atom processor, Intel GMA945 Integrated chipset and so on.
