I have a Dell Inspiron 2200 running Ubuntu 9.10. Earlier I formatted a CD-R on Windows. I chose the option that was said to be readable by all computers. The other one stated other OS versions "after XP" won't work. I also used AlZIP to compress the files I am transferring. Although every time I try to open it and view the files, I receive this message.

[QUOTE]Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so[QUOTE]

I tried what retiredtechie suggested here on page three. Restarted my PC but it still won't read the CD-R.
