I'm going to wait some days or weeks before installing... I'm having with Jaunty the best experience I've ever had with Ubuntu. Everything works and is set up as I like, so I'm kinda lazy to install Karmic and have to set up everything again and, potentially, face some bugs.

I'm going to wait before fresh installing or upgrading.

How do I feel? Nothing different than when I installed the Alpha and been updating. I've been enjoying the greatness of Karmic for quite awhile! Kinda anticlimactic.

    +1

I too have no desire to upgrade. Kubuntu 9.04 is working so well for me and I have everything set just so, upgrading seems like a waste of time. I do not require any of the new features and do not wish to be a guinea pig for Grub2, Ext4, and any other potential changes to my perfectly working system.

I much prefer for Grub2 and btrfs to come out of beta before switching filesystems and boot managers. Ext4 is merely a stop gap measure and will soon be replaced by btrfs anyhow.

I'm waiting for the release iso. Anybody know what time (and which timezone) it will be up??

I'm in New Zealand so ahead of all you others in terms of timezone's.

    Can't wait!!

My first proper install of Ubuntu was 8.04, which I loved.. Moved to 9.04 and I'm since learnt alot. As a result my current install of 9.04 is a little messed up. Postgres doesn't start on boot.. Desktop is broken (no icons... no files.. cant right click). Firefox is 3.5.1 and called 'Shiretoko' and runs really slowly. Can't wait to be fresh and fixed.

I'm in the East Cost of the US, so correct me if I'm wrong, aren't we already past that?
If the only reason you think your software is better is because it's FOSS, you need to write better software

Been testing Karmic since alpha 1 on HD2. I'm going to stick with 9.04 on disk 1 and see what bugs gets fixed and there are a lot.
