I'm using 12.04 (32 bit) on a dual boot machine with Windows 7.

I use a wireless adapter (USB) to connect to my router. Yesterday the wireless connection fell over and asked for input of the WPA2 password to reconnect. Entry of the password would not allow reconnect.

I rebooted.

Normally on reboot my system requests a keyring password to activate my network connection. Instead it requested my network security, WPA2, password. When input it connected.

I checked my network connection details (I use the GNOME interface for network management) and the interface showed the system had "forgotten" my password. On entry of my password and clicking "SAVE" my keyring password was requested.

Any logical reason why these changes took place?
