Question Fax from a network multi-function printer

Hi, I have searched but not found any info regarding this topic: I have 2 different (HP2840 and Ricoh MP2510) that I use. They are print/scan/copy/fax multi-function printers they are both on the network I am using. My question is: Is there a way to use their fax capabilities directly from my computer? In windoze, I used to choose a printer that was the fax and it would send my document that way. Is there a way in Ubuntu Linux to do this??? I am on Jaunty, using compaq Laptop. been installed for 1 year and loving it.

    Thanks for any help!

You can fax from open office or efax or xsane but you need xsane and efax installed first.
