Transcend mp3 digital player

Does anybody have experience with Transcend mp3 digital player in India and Ubuntu. Are they supported?

Transcend emailed me that their mp3 players are supported under present Linux kernel.

Generally most Mp3 players are Generic USB Mass Storage devices and will work under Ubuntu.

This reply contains wrong information. Some Sony players as well as ZEN players are badly supported under Linux. This is why I posted this!

No, he's quite correct; most MP3 players are just generic USB Mass Storage devices, and will work under Ubuntu.

Sony, and Creative as well as Apple hate linux users. Those should be the only ones that will give you problems, as most MP3 players are just like flash drives.
