    Sending Laptop into Lenovo?

Something is wrong with my laptop ( Battery wont charge, something wrong with AC plug-in on laptop ) and I am going to send it into Lenovo. Usually that would not be a big deal for me except it is running linux. Will they reject the laptop or try to blame the problem on linux. You know how these computer companies are, anything to try and get out of fixing it.

I have a Lenovo laptop and have not had a problem with servicing though I exclusively run Linux.

One thought about your problem: take the battery out and unplug the charger, then hold the power button down for 30 seconds - to discharge capacitors. Then plug in the charger and replace the battery and see if it works. No guarantees but worth a try.

They excepted it no questions asked, what was wrong with your laptop? I already tried that also.

    Re: Sending Laptop into Lenovo?

I have been running Lenovo/IBM laptops with only Linux installed for about 6 years. I have had new motherboards, new hard drives, new screens. On no occasion was there a problem.
