snd-cs4236 soundcard (Dell Optiplex GX1) not detected by Xubuntu 9.04

Soundcard snd-cs4236 is not shown in "aplay -l" search thru terminal.

I have an old GX1-500 mid tower that does the same thing! Its a ISA on board sound thing,drop in any PCI sound card and everything works fine(disable sound in BIOS) F2 , I think some where in the forums I seen a post for something similar but cant remember where? Good Luck,mine is still rocking after all these years(PCPower/cooling 300watt P/S and a new WD 80gig IDE) ..........
