    Totem Movie Player Crash

I've been having no problem playing video, however I restarted my laptop and now when I go to open these video files Totem automatically closes. It's not a codec issue since I've played these types of files before, and it even crashes when playing videos that I've watched all the way through with Totem.

    create a new user.
Log in as that user and see if you can play movies.

If yes, you likely have some screwed up preferences.
If it crashes as new user, you likely have a corrupt binary or library.

not sure bout any of this,
maybe you find some more detailed errors if you run
    Code:
    totem myMovie.file
from terminal and post your error messages.
also why not try out another movie player? just to see if it works and have an alternative
