You'll probably have to create a USB stick with bootable DOS on it.

I keep an el-cheapo 2G stick that I got as a promo for something, and it's loaded with DOS just for flashing BIOS.

Most mobo manufacturers provide a DOS utility for this.

It is certainly possible to flash a bios from Linux, but none of the manufacturers want to spend the $200 or so it would cost to hire a contractor to write the appropriate utility for them.
