    8.04 Hardy, 2.6.28 kernel & the x58 chipset

So far my search hasn't turned up much about this, but if anyone can provide links or verify that Hardy can be compiled with 2.6.28 kernel for installation on x58 chipsets i would be most gracious.

FWIW i tried to install the newer kernel by enabling the jaunty repos but that broke things beyond the point of no return. Decided to run with Jaundice Jackalope until Lynx is released, or vmware workstation is compatible with Koala.

    Consider this a dead thread.
