Bean/post count not so hidden

So the UF allows users to hide their post count. However you can still see the post count if you view the user's profile.

Is this a bug or is there a reason its not completely hidden?

It has always been like this. The count is hidden from the main view to discourage people from judging members by post counts.

+1: Sounds good. A high bean/post count, on its own, isn't a reliable indicator of experience or ability to help. There are other forum users with a lower bean/post count than myself who have shown a greater aptitude for actually helping other users.

Yes I understand this, but its a small step to view the members profile and then see the post count.

But that takes effort (well, a deliberate action done on purpose to find out). I guess the idea that if someone really want to know they should be allowed it. It's only to prevent more instinctive post court judging.
